2024 Inaugural AFLCUA Female Umpires' Dinner
In 2024 the AFLCUA held its first dedicated Women in Umpiring event to celebrate our female umpires' invlovement in our great game in Canberra and surrounding regions, and were fortunate enough to have Chelsea Roffey as our inaugural guest speaker.
Chelsea is the first female to umpire an AFL Grand Final (in 2012) and recently achieved Life Membership of the AFL after umpiring her 300th match.
The talk and subsequent dinner was a great success and provided an opportunity for our female umpires to network and continue to build the social connections across our AFL Canberra umpiring group.
