2024 Life Member Dinner
Our second annual Life Members' Dinner was held at the CSCC Jamison on Thursday 8 August 2024.
The room was decked-out in AFLCUA heritage memorabilia and it was fantastic to see 40 Life Members in attendance, up from 29 last year, enjoying the banter and shared history that comes from being part of the umpiring family. Certificates and pins were presented to 16 more Life Members starting with David Hinds from 1992 and ending with our three 2023 inductees Alex Gosman, Ben Haseler and Jeremy Milner.
The Association would like to thank Life Member Andrew Toy and Modena Appliances for their generous sponsorship of the dinner. This support enabled us to subsidise the dinner cost and provide each Life Member with a mug they can use for their favourite hot beverage.
We have now presented certificates and pins to 46 of our Life Members over the past two years, and look forward to 2025 being an even bigger turnout with another three new Life Members to be announced later this year.
